Unembedded Journalism... Why its needed.

I've been reading from Dahr Jamail and it seems with every page i turn i just keep getting more and more pissed.

It has a scathing accusations of the media, principally Judith Miller and Michael Gordon, whom both should have lost their reputations and their jobs for reporting and failing to correct improper Iraq WMD stories.

And the rest of the media for ignoring the blatant truth, that embedding with a military unit only gives you propaganda and lies.
Jamail, Is one of those few jems, who through principle, went to Iraq on his own funds, and started reporting eyewitness accounts of what he saw inside Baghdad.
Quite frankly, Every major newspaper should be syndicating him by now. Yes, his reports are filled with reports of death and destruction. But it's death that the US, Directly or indirectly CAUSED.

We need people like Dahr to go out there and see what the rest of us are too scared to see or even read about. the same is true even for me. I'd rather play a game of freelancer than read his book about the suffering of Iraqi people.

We need alternate sources, particularly because mass media are a bunch of corporate spineless cowards.
